Monster drummer Timm Biery is available for drum tracking via the Internet! You can now have one of the world's finest drummers play on your recordings conveniently and at very reasonable rates. A noted producer and engineer, Timm can also take your finished tracks to the next level with a professional mix - quickly and affordably.

Timm's studio - The Barn - is a wonderful drum room. Located in a 100 year old tobacco barn that's been built out to Timm's specs, the room features a combination of old and new technologies and has a wonderfully rich, open drum sound. A variety of drum sets, snares, cymbals, and percussion instruments are on hand, so you'll find exactly the sound you want for your project. Drum machines, samples, and loops are also available. For a detailed look at the Barn's drum inventory, click here.

Currently, The Barn uses Tascam MX2424 hard disc recorders, along with a Tascam DM3200 digital console. The MX2424 imports .wav or .aif file types, so no matter what software or OS you're using, The Barn can handle it. Tascam DA-88 and Alesis ADAT machines are also available for tracking and/or mixing projects. For more info about The Barn's equipment, click here.

An Internet Session starts with discussing your project with Timm, either by e-mail or phone (usually both). Next, you send your project files to the studio using our secure FTP servers or on a disc. Files are then imported into the MX2424 and drum tracking begins. Before starting "keeper" takes, a rough mix of Timm's drum ideas will be posted on a private page set up for your project at tbsessions.com. Once you check off on the drumming concept, final drum tracking begins. A rough mix of the "keeper" take will be posted on your project page. When the tracks sound and feel the way you want them to, the individual files will then be posted for you to download or sent to you on a disc. Files shipped on disc are insured for an amount you specify. File copies are backed up and stored securely for a period of one year from the end of your session.

A 50% deposit is required to begin recording. The balance due must be paid in full before any final take files will be released to you. An invoice will be sent to you via e-mail for all payments due. Payments can be made with most major credit cards, and are processed through PayPal's secure system. Arrangements can also be made for payments by check.
